Some people are unable to make Friday mornings, but might be interested in evening sessions.
ArtyFacts @ Blackheath @ Night
Evening session (7.30pm to 9pm) on Friday 24 January, on ‘George IV: Art and Spectacle’.
George IV formed an unrivalled collection of art, much of which remains in the Royal Collection. Bringing together Dutch and Flemish masterpieces, magnificent portraits by Sir Thomas Lawrence and Sir Joshua Reynolds and many other works by some of the finest artists of the day, we will explore the Queen’s Gallery exhibition, which presents George IV’s life through the art that enriched his world.
Please do contact us to book your place for any sessions you wish to attend.
All lectures are given by Rosalind Whyte, lecturer for The Arts Society, Guide and Lecturer at Tate and the Royal Academy and will take place in the Bakehouse Theatre, at the Age Exchange Blackheath (directly opposite Blackheath Railway Station). Access to the Bakehouse Theatre in the evening is via Bennett Park. £15 per session when pre-booked, £16 drop-in.
